A community of men gathered together in the name of the Lord serving the people of UK and Ireland
Our Community - Dundee Priory
The Servite presence in Dundee reaches back to around 58 years ago.
While the community has differed in number, strength and age, it has remained a centre of prayer and welcome in the Dunkeld Diocese (Scotland). The principle ministry of the community is the pastoral service to a long established parish (St. Vincent de Paul).
The community minsters in many other ways to the local community and has a very active ministry to the poor and homeless. This operates from the Servite Priory, next to the Church.
As in all houses of the Province there is an active healing ministry in honour of St Peregrine, and many come to the monthly mass held in his honour. The Church and Priory are situated on a roundabout on the Kingsway as one enters Dundee.
St. Vincent's Primary School, was opened on 9th April 1951 with Miss Ward as its first head teacher.
In 1984 the Prioress Provincial of Servite Sisters, Sister M. Felicity McKeown OSM, negotiated the presence of the sisters in Dundee, based in Monifieth in a care home for elderly. From this house two sisters came to St. Vincent's as part of the team with the friars. Their service in the local community and parish was enhanced when the sisters took up residence near the church in 1984.

Prayer To The Way To Peace
Father of love, hear my prayer.
Help me to know Your Will
and to do it with courage and faith.
Accept my offering of myself,
all my thoughts, words, deeds, and sufferings.
May my life be spent giving You glory.
Give me the strength to follow Your call,
so that Your Truth may live in my heart
and bring peace to me and to those I meet,
for I believe in Your Love.
