The Parish of the Divine Word

The Parish of the Divine Word at Marley was created by the Archdiocese of Dublin in December 1982 from Churchtown Parish, whose parent church was Rathfarnham.  The house of the people - Teach an Phobail - was named Church of the Divine Word and while an uncommon title, it is one which was much loved from the beginning of Christianity especially in the Eastern Church.  The land for the Church and School was given by the Sisters of Loreto

There is a wide variety of Ministerial Groups, Clubs and Societies meeting within the parish and details of these are contained in the Parish Directory, copies of which can be obtained from the Parish Office.
